One of my volunteer endeavors is sharing preparedness information with women enrolled in Celestial University. My mind has been going over details of things I would like to better plan for next time, and what I would like to share with the ladies at CU.
Our preparedness planning has been very focused on immediate family. Now I realize we also need a plan for contacting extended family members.

An emergency preparedness checklist by the Federal Emergency Management Agency and American Red Cross includes good ideas on things to discuss, plan, and prepare before an emergency.

Ready America has ideas on preparing emergency kits, making plans, and being informed.

Oh Constance. I just can't tell you how cool that is.
I'm utterly discouraged about my state of preparedness, and my husband's lack of concern. I'm actually scorned when it's brought up. :(
