Once upon a time...

life was not complete without a pacifier. Or at least it wasn't as quiet.

Yesterday, Mustang Man happened to find this:

It was Panda's favorite pacifier. Mustang Man surprised me by presenting it when I came home from work. I was surprised it was still in tact. I remember trying to break the binky habit at our house.

We had two binky addicts at our house, the oldest and the youngest of our gang (Stormin' and Panda). Interesting it was the brothers who share a birth month that shared the love of pacifiers.

Stormin' was broken from the habit after we soaked all of his beloved binkies in vinegar. With Panda, we snipped the ends off of the binkies so that when he found one, it was broken and he had to throw it away. He was easier to break than Stormin' was.

While I still sometimes miss having babies around, I'm glad I don't have any more babies to break from the binky habit.

OH how I can relate to the binky wars.. they are never ending at our house. all though we are going trying to try some new tactics to see how they work!

Stormin and Panda weren't born in April by any chance were they? My youngest is very attached to his binki....one might even say addicted. He HAS to have one in his mouth and one in each hand or he won't go to sleep, no matter how late or how tired he is. I am so grateful that I didn't have to go through this with the first two.

Nope, they were December babies.

My August gent was a finger sucker. That may be worse to break, but something I deserved to experience since I was a stubborn thumb sucker myself. :)
