Homecoming

Stormin' decided to get creative in asking a girl to Homecoming this year. He enlisted my help in creating marble magnets to form a rebus puzzle for her. It was interesting searching for the perfect clipart to represent each word of the question.

He took the set of magnets to school and asked her questions. Each time she got the answer right, she got one piece of the puzzle. (The original plan was to stick them on her locker, but then Stormin' got nervous that someone would walk by and grab a magnet before she found it.)

I forgot to take a picture of the magnets before he left the house. C'est la vie. The important part is that she received all of the magnets, deciphered the puzzle, and agreed to go to the dance.

I'm also going to take this opportunity to thank my unbiological sister, Tammi, for the song that runs through my head every fall... The Homecoming Queen's Got a Gun. I still remember her playing this song down in the basement when she was living with us. The good old days!

I remember that song too! Isn't it weird the music that sticks in your head decades later with just barely a prompting?

If you think my hands are full, you should see my heart!
