I couldn't let another day go by that I didn't update my blog...especially not today.
We are lucky to have extended family living close to us, a luxury that not everyone gets to enjoy. It was such fun to watch family members together today, though there were pangs of missing those who were not with us. Thank you especially to my mother-in-law, who tended to every detail of the family feast. One of these days she will let the rest of us help more, though I am grateful for her service today.
I'm thankful for health and the medical miracles that can relieve pain of my loved ones. This is especially true of my dear hubby and my daddy right now. I hope they are both patient enough to endure the rest of their recovery periods and able to stay in good spirits along the way.
I'm blessed to have an amazing family with Mustang Man and our five gentlemen. It's hard to believe they are growing so quickly, but it has been one amazing adventure to raise them and love them and blossom together. I can't wait to see what is yet to come...together.
I'm thankful for understanding parents, who won't get to see us until next weekend when we will celebrate three birthdays and Thanksgiving all at the same time. (Mom, this is your reminder to please send your wish list!)
I am grateful for my faith and the ability to live and worship the way that I choose. I'm also grateful for all of the miracles that flow into my life from living the way that I believe is right, and for the ability to repent when I veer off course to the smallest degree.
This is my formal acknowledgement that our lives are blessed to be in a state of organized chaos. We are accomplishing all the things we need to, many of the things we want to, and recognizing what a tremendous blessing it is to have an awful lot of things fall into both categories. I have heard that my life seems over the top ... that no one could possibly stay up so late, get up so early, do so much, and still be smiling in the middle of it all. I still say, "If you think my hands are full, you should see my heart."
The blessings in our lives are abundant, as I'm sure they are in yours. With our love and prayers for all of our dear friends and family, we wish you a Happy Thanksgiving and a wonderful beginning of a beautiful holiday season!
