In all his haste and nerves, he somehow forgot to bring his honor cord and service pin with him for the ceremony.
The glow and elation on his face at the ceremony are much better than in the picture afterward with the addition of those forgotten emblems.
Last night he also had seminary graduation where he again earned the Stake President's Award. Yesterday he also turned in his completed Duty to God booklet to receive the associated award.
This means he's finished his big goals for the year. That included the above items, plus earning his Eagle Scout Award. It's a bittersweet milestone from my perspective. And yet, I'm sure there will be many more amazing adventures in the future with this man.
Congratulations, Michael!

it is so exciting and uplifting to see your young man accomplish so many good things. His hard work and dedication will carry on into his next goals because you and Chad have taught him well. I am so proud of all of you! What an exciting time!!!
I love the picture of him with his diploma. He looks so happy and relieved! Congrats!
WAY TO GO MICHAEL!!!
I know I'm one of the worst uncles on Earth, but I'm REALLY proud of you!
I know that I HATED high school and it was a real struggle for me to get through that last semester my Senior year, but what's funny is that after my mission, I couldn't have enjoyed college more than I did.
