Sunday -- Church, meetings, and family home evening, including a heated game of Scrabble. Good times!
Monday -- Another wonderful class of Philanthropy & Nonprofit Development. We talked about boards of directors and the arts & culture. This has been a wonderful experience so far and I'm excited about digging a little deeper in future classes, since this is currently an overview.
Tuesday -- Injured my knee somehow. Most of my Tuesday just revolved around the word "OUCH!" Thankfully, Jon was kind enough to escort Andrew to and from Cub Scouts when he got to visit Gold's Gym. (Thanks to Harold Youngblut for letting them try everything out.)
Wednesday -- Saw the doctor about my knee. She thinks I've done something to the cartilage. I'll know more after an MRI next week, but a brace and some pain killers made things much more tolerable. I also had fun teaching the Young Women how to make their own pattern for pajama pants. I love the fabrics they selected a couple of weeks ago and can't wait to see the finished products.
Thursday -- A night off from class! Although I love going to class, it was also wonderful to have a night at home with my family. I even got to indulge in my guilty pleasure of watching the opening of this season's Survivor, which is set in Samoa. There are definitely some memorable characters already this season.
Friday -- Shipped Chad off for a backpacking trip at Yellow River Forest. Hopefully he's having a great time. He left the cell phone behind and gets to be off the grid for a couple of days. Lucky man! Four of the gents enjoyed a day off from school. The oldest gent grumped a bit about college not having a Cattle Congress Day.
Saturday -- Okay, it's not quite here yet, but... Kodi will start his new job at Roux Orleans. He's very excited and I'm happy for him. Hopefully he will learn great things and this will be a step in the right direction for his dreams of becoming a professional chef. It's also a big day for Andrew who gets to go shopping for supplies for his new instrument. My littlest gent is going for a BIG instrument. He'll be playing the string bass in orchestra. (So much for Chad's dreams of having a sax player in the family.)
That's my week. Hopefully I will find time to post again soon.

I LOVE SURVIVOR. I am so glad that I have someone to chat about it with. Sorry you hurt your knee. Hope it is nothing to serious. Good Luck.
