You know, I heard a comedian once say that he did not use the expression LOL (laugh out loud) but instead used LQTM (laughing quietly to myself) because it was more honest. Well, today's quote was actually a real LOL moment for me:
"The difficult is what takes a little time; the impossible is what takes a little longer."
~ Fridtjof Nansen
Working full time and going to grad school while raising a family and volunteering in the community is a challenge ... it's difficult.
Add to that our biggest fundraiser of the year (normally carried out by a committee) to be pulled off by me and my intern alone, and that brings me face to face with the nearly impossible.
Ordered to do so without working too many extra hours, and we've bumped that up a notch.
A letter this week bringing the potential of jury duty service the week before that big fundraiser, then I'm surely at impossible.
Pile on the unexpected, something that pulls at my heart and keeps me from sleeping decently at night, and I am surely past impossible.
But, hey, it's just going to take a little longer. I can do this. I can make it work.
Or at least I can laugh about it for the moment...

If anyone can make it work I'm sure that you can. You have always been able to juggle more things than I think anyone else I know. I will pray for you to get more sleep at night though because that is very needed if you are going to be that busy.
Big hugs to you and all those boys.
You are truly amazing Connie. I only hope that one day I can accomplish the things I want to do in my life, the way you have...and be able to do it with half the grace you have!
