Labor Day Fun

The big fun for the day was going to the annual John Deere picnic. It's been a few years since we attended, so it was past time for getting an updated shot of our gentlemen with a tractor that their Dad helped build.

This year sitting on or in the tractors was off limits. But, there is one of MustangMan's tractors in the background nonetheless.

We brought two additional guests with us...Stormin's girlfriend, Lovely, and Panda's buddy, Z-Attack. Everyone's favorite activity was the Water Wars. There they got to launch waterballoons at each other.

Big-J sent off the first shot.

Panda and Z-Attack teamed up against Big-J.

Z-Attack slipped on the release, while Panda saw another incoming shot.

Camo had no reservations when starting his attack on Moose.

Moose had a more relaxed approach.

I actually missed the best shot of the day. One of Moose's balloons landed inside Camo's launcher, fully intact. This gave Camo one extra shot at his big brother.

Lovely had fun taking aim at Stormin'.

Stormin' felt the hit...not a bad feeling with the heat of the day.

It was a great way to spend our Labor Day afternoon! I'm sure MustangMan will be getting tickets for us again next year.

We ended the day with big news. Stormin' was complaining of a sore throat and shared that strep has been going around at school. So, after a trip to the doctor, a throat swab, and a blood draw, we confirmed that he has mono!

It's going to be hard to keep the boy down, but I remember well what happens when you do too much with mono. The result for me was losing an entire semester of Sophmore year. Hopefully Stormin' is smart enough not to follow in his mother's footsteps. :)
