Tribute to President Gordon B. Hinckley

The prophet of our church has passed away. We grieve the loss of our dear leader, and yet rejoice in the knowledge that this is part of the Lord's plan of happiness for each of us. President Hinckley can once again see his beloved wife, family members, dear friends, and all of the souls whose eternal progression have been impacted by his work.

Yesterday I found myself pondering the scripture in Genesis 18:14, "Is anything too hard for the Lord?" The things that I am asked to do are very small. My reply when something seems difficult needs to be, "Is anything too hard for the Lord?"

I believe President Hinckley was a great example of this concept. He rebuilt the Nauvoo Temple when others thought it impossible. He began the construction of smaller temples, giving increased access to the ordinances therein. He served selflessly as the Prophet of our church for nearly 13 years. President Hinckley gave his all to move forward the Kingdom of God ... nothing was too hard to give in service for the Lord.

Thank you for all of the years of service, President Hinckley. We love you and are honored by all you have given us.
