We had a fun Valentine evening at our house. It was our privilege to feed the missionaries tonight, and I decided to make it a fun celebration. I scattered lace doily hearts all across the table, along with "I love you" confetti. Then there were fun Valentine favors at each place ... pencils, yo-yo, noise maker, marble maze, etc. I probably should have spent more time on studying, but this was much more fun!
The menu included chicken fettuccine, rolls, autumn salad, candied carrots, broccoli, sparkling cider (or "bubbly" as the missionaries called it), and Jell-O cake. Yum!
Since it was a special day for all of us, I decided to use our red plate as the base of the centerpiece with three white oak vanilla candles on top. (You can see part of it in the picture above.) I snapped the shot while we waited for MustangMan to return with the missionaries.
A romantic dinner for 9 was a great way to celebrate.

Great idea! I bet the missionaries were grateful and the boys loved it. You are such a great mom. I love your examples.
We had the other set of missionaries. They would have probably liked your evening better. We had Stew and then made Valentine cookies with the kids. What a mess!
