The above quote was really about a sister. But, I felt it applied more to my brother -- especially since I have no sisters. I also like this thought that G Lady! added to a scrapbook page for a baby shower last year:
"I'm smiling because I'm your brother. I'm laughing because there's nothing you can do about it."
I'm sure FatherOfFive would agree that has been true in our relationship from time to time...and from the perspective of the brother or the sister.
Yesterday FatherOfFive posted the above picture on his blog, with a birthday note for me. I'm not sure that he knew this is one of my favorite pictures of the two of us. In my mind, it was taken around the same time that we took a trip to California. You remember, Mugwamp. That was when I smacked you in the eye with one of my hard, white shoes. I was certainly not always sugar and spice and everything nice. But I still love you!

Oh, I miss your brother and his family. How are they all? I remember watching their kids. They must all be old now. I bet they are still adorable.
