Busy Day!

This morning, both Stormin' and Big-J marched in the local parade. They happily downed the ice cold water I had waiting for them at the end of the parade route.

This afternoon was filled with acts of service. Stormin' and Moose headed out to assist with the tornado clean up efforts. Camo and Big-J were quite disappointed that they were not allowed to help because the age requirement was 14 and up.

The rest of our gang went with me to do some serious shopping for Falcon Fest. Panda was very excited since this is the fun fair at his school. We had many items to track down and load up in preparation for Tuesday -- hamburger patties, cash boxes, all kinds of things for wrapping and marking bake sale items, etc. Unfortunately, MustangMan was not content to sit at home and rest his injured foot. I'm afraid he did a little too much and spent the rest of the evening with an ice pack and some pain medicine.

Stormin' and Moose arrived home shortly after we did. Stormin' was ready for bed after working the closing shift last night (home at 2:00 this morning), followed by the parade and then the clean up. Moose and I made a quick trip to the store to replace the jeans he destroyed during the service project. Then he was off to a child care job.

The day flew right by! Now the gents have a few more days of school and then the summer adventures begin. This includes all of the fun and plans for Stormin's senior year. Wasn't it just yesterday I sent that child off to Kindergarten? Time flies when you're having fun.

I would rather spend the day extremely busy giving service or making a child happy than anything else. You guys do a marvelous job doing what you do!!!
