Early to Rise

Today marks the last day of early morning seminary. I was in charge of treats for their last day so I started my morning making breakfast pizza. I made the crust from scratch this morning, but a faster version would be to use English muffins and make mini pizzas. The toppings are easy -- Alfredo sauce, cooked sausage, scrambled eggs, and cheese. Bake until the cheese melts (425° for 10 minutes).

Sometimes people tell me that I'm crazy to be up early in the morning. Personally, I can't understand how people sleep in until noon! Although, Stormin' and Moose will be happy to try to attempt it in the near future. They are very excited about sleeping in for the last two weeks of school. I'll bet they're like their mother and won't be able to sleep in much.

I suppose that's what happens when you've been a student in early morning seminary. Class starts at 6:00 a.m. and if you're a vain teenage girl, you must be up much earlier to shower, do your hair, put on makeup, etc. before you head out the door. Although I'm no longer a vain teenager, the activity at our house on a typical morning starts at 4:00 a.m. because MustangMan heads out the door for work at 5:00.

"Early to bed and early to rise makes a man healthy, wealthy, and wise."
