One of the afternoons we were out and about, we found a couple of new friends. Two painted turtles were trying to cross the road! Our gentlemen named the two turtles almost immediately -- Leonardo and Raphael.
The flood was forcing the animals to evacuate. We even saw a deer running through the middle of town that afternoon, which is a very unusual sight.
It was an adventure trying to return home today. The flood waters are everywhere! Thankfully, we made it back home safely. And the basement is still dry, so far (knock on wood).

I'm glad that you made it home safe. Been watching the news about all of the flooding and just praying that none of the family gets washed away. The turtle picture is very cute, and I'm glad that it isn't just my girls that feel the need to name every animal that they see!
