I could kiss the postman!

Earlier this month I got to visit my gynecologist, once again. This has been a regular part of my life every 3-6 months for the last three years. It goes something like this...go to the doctor for a pap...and wait...get a phone call from the nurse...schedule a colposcopy...take some biopsies...and wait some more...another phone call from the nurse....have a procedure to remove the bad stuff....and wait again...next phone call from the nurse...repeat the pap...and the cycle continues.

I was back for yet another "repeat pap" and I was surprised when the nurse pulled out a blue postcard and asked me to verify my address. I had filled out the card in August 2004 so they could notify me by mail if the results were normal. Instead, I started on this alternate journey of uncomfortable procedures and worrying and checking and rechecking, etc.

Well, this month they finally got to use that little blue postcard. I've never been so happy to get boring, normal, uneventful news in the mail from my doctor! I get to wait a whole year before returning to they gynecologist. Yippee!!

Great news for you! I've been wondering how everything was going for you. My 23 year old cousin is going through the same trials as you were. She is going to school to become a nurse and she doesn't have health insurance so she's been postponing seeing her doctor! FINALLY she went about 2 weeks ago and I'm not sure what she's heard, but we're praying for her. That is WONDERFUL news for you to hear that everything is normal! Awesome!

If you think my hands are full, you should see my heart!
